I just proof-read my friend’s senior math thesis thingie. Through this I learned that really smart math apparently transcends the use of numbers.
Seriously, the only numbers in the whole thing were the page numbers at the bottom.
So I have come up with a theory: Really smart math is bullshit.
Math students go to school and then just sit in the classroom reading digg for 90 minutes or so. Then they write down an “equation” that consists solely of letters, symbols, hieroglyphs and stick figures and pass it off as “math.”
The only thing they learn in school is how to properly make someone feel like a dumb asshole if they dare ask the question, “shouldn’t math involve numbers?” This is how they convince people to pay them so they can have careers.
Touché, mathematicians of the world. Touché.
